Lion Dance Grand Street Parade
This is the "Dragon and Lion Lantern Parade" held in Jiujiang, Jiangxi, to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Dragon. The spectacular 100-meter-long dragon is brought to life by dozens of performers, who execute fluid, synchronized movements—from the dramatic "Dragon Emerging from the Sea" and "Dragon Wagging Its Tail" to the graceful "Golden Dragon Spiraling" and the playful "Auspicious Dragon Playing with a Pearl." The dancers move in perfect harmony, seamlessly responding to each other as they twist, wave, tilt, and sway, effortlessly blending human energy with the majestic presence of the dragon. Together, they create a mesmerizing display that radiates peaceful joy, auspicious blessings, and an infectious sense of vitality and celebration.

Divine Procession
Why is Quanzhou called the "city blessed by countless gods"? During Quanzhou's divine procession events, the streets come alive with bustling crowds and the vibrant sounds of gongs and drums filling the air. Minnan people’s faith is all about worshipping gods and Buddhas—not chasing celebrities. When I was young, I thought it was just superstition, but growing up, I realized it’s actually a source of spiritual comfort and the starting point for kindness. May your heart’s deepest wishes truly come true!

The journey home
The high-speed train station buzzed with activity as people came and went. The station hall was packed with travelers, creating a lively and bustling scene. Some carried suitcases, others held children by the hand, while still others sported backpacks as they hurried toward their destinations. Their expressions varied—some wore broad smiles, others looked anxious and rushed, while a few exuded excitement and anticipation.

Spring Festival Ancestral Worship
On the morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year in Maoming, Guangdong, at the ancestral altar of the "Deng Clan Ancestral Hall," Grandma had already been busy for nearly five hours: She started by slaughtering a chicken at 4 a.m., arranging it meticulously into a distinctive "facing heaven" pose. Afterward, the chicken was slow-cooked alongside sacrificial pork until perfectly shaped and ready for presentation. Once the offerings were prepared, she carried them in a bamboo basket, first making her way to local shrines—honoring figures like Lady Xian, the Land God temple, and Guan Gong—before finally returning to the ancestral hall by 9 a.m. to pay tribute to their ancestors.

Spring Blessings
In everyday life, this place is always bustling with people—crowded, lively, and filled with the constant flow of vehicles, making it one of the busiest spots in the city. But during the vibrant New Year festival, when most people head home to reunite with their families or embark on festive trips, the subway station feels unusually quiet and deserted. In our bustling urban lives, we should cherish these precious moments spent together as a family and express gratitude for the people and experiences that enrich our lives.
